由于 Cocos Creator 的稳定性实在欠佳, 无奈之下更换游戏引擎, Defold 是不二之选.
下面是 Defold 作者称赞自己的引擎有三点好处:

- Zero-setup policy - As a developer you only install Defold once. No additional tools are needed to create bundles for each supported platform. No Android Studio, no XCode.
- Truly cross platform - Write once run everywhere is true for Defold. We focus on platform agnostic APIs where it is possible to create application bundles for all supported platforms without any changes to the code.
翻译过来就是 核心超级小, 集成编辑器 和 真正跨平台. 真的很吸引人啊! 但是我最看重的还是其稳定性.
The Defold Foundation can not assist with funding or publishing but we’re happy to promote new games on Twitter and other social channels, and in newsletters and on the website.
When it comes to monetization in general Defold has support for In-app purchases and subscriptions as well as many of the most popular ad networks. Defold is also compliant with most of the latest SDKs and keeps up-to-date with OS updates. This helps in getting featured by for instance Apple or Google.
Defold 目前不做游戏发行, 但是毋庸置疑的是开发者能用 Defold 实现作品变现 (https://defold.com/tags/stars/monetization/).
虽然目前 Defold 主要作为 2D 游戏引擎, 但是官方正在协同社区力量探讨 3D 的可能性.
